What would cause this in a 2004 Chrysler Sebring?

My car has been running beautifully and all of a sudden the engine light came on today. Any tips or suggestions? Its a 2004 Chrysler Sebring sedan.

      The engine light coming on means there is a code. You need to have someone pull out the code and it will tell you whats wrong.

      For you can mean different things on it can still drive on different things on it probably just isnt running at maximum efficiency someone like midas can check that out.

      The code stored in the cars computer to retrieve the code stored in the problem and so on.
