My chrysler Pacifca’s remote start won’t work at a distance?

someone asked:

I have 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, that came with the Remote Start installed. Recently the batteries went dead so i replaced them and the start works but you have to be like a foot away pointing it at the car.

Any ideas why it doesn’t work… Do i need to reset the remote?

Thanks!
